First Post!

Hey, hey! It’s my first official post!

For those of you who are joining me for the first time, welcome! My name is Jennie. I am a modern calligraphy and hand lettering artist. I create custom pieces for family and friends, and I am currently working on my online shop – much more coming soon!

My Background:

A little over a year ago I began sharing my lettering on Instagram, and it has become such a joy for me! Now I’m here… ready to share everything with you! I will tell you my story, encourage you in your own creativity and guide you in your own lettering journey. (I hope you find something helpful while you’re here!) I’ll teach simple tips and tricks, showcase current projects, recommend the products that are worth it, and help you to get started right away! I have learned a lot in just a few short years and I can’t wait to share all my secrets with you. This will also be a space of inspiration and encouragement from my real life. Look out for a few lifestyle posts where I share some personal experiences as well!

Personal life:

When I’m not lettering (or blogging about it) I spend all my time with family and friends. I have an amazing husband and two precious daughters. A few of my favorite things are coffee, my Bible, fresh-cut flowers, smoothies, Amazon Prime, and of course juicy new brush pens! I am also very passionate about my faith in Jesus Christ which inspires a lot the pieces I create.

Stay tuned for more coming soon. I have so many plans for this blog I can feel myself bursting as I write this! A few things you can look forward to… a beginner lettering series, and lots of “tips” posts. This blog is here for you. I am going to share everything I have learned about lettering.  I will talk about Instagram and what the best supplies are. I’ll teach you simple tutorials, explain all about filming lettering videos, and so much more!
